Color Consistency Reinforces the Brand

Your brand is your image—and part of protecting the integrity of your brand means protecting the colors in it. But there are challenges, especially when you're working within a global supply chain. Our solutions give brand owners the power to specify color using a universal color language as well as ensure that suppliers are quality controlled and color managed. Brand owners who control their color can organize different actors in the process—designers, photographers, prepress—so that the best results are achieved. X-Rite is the only global company to provide complete color solutions in multiple industries at every step of the process. Complementing our hardware and software solutions is our team of experts who provide consultation and educational services, executing comprehensive programs for color throughout an entire workflow.

PantoneLIVE: The New Standard in Global Color Communication

Ensuring accurate color begins with color specification. That used to be relatively easy. But in today's complex and global color supply chain, and with the use of a wide range of printing technologies and substrates, how do you ensure that your brand color and associated color palettes are right the first time, right every time?

That's where PantoneLIVE comes in. This new, cloud-based color management service is a communication tool that helps to communicate color across the entire Packaging Supply Chain. When everyone in the supply chain connects to the same cloud-based solution, then everyone is speaking the same color language.

With PantoneLIVE, the precise spectral data for your Brand color, as well as other Pantone colors in your brand palette or commonly used in your projects, are stored securely as Master Standards in a cloud-based system.

Additional standards, dependent on the final print conditions, such as print process and substrate, are also stored in the cloud, so that everyone in the supply chain can work from the dependent spectral values that meet their particular requirements. This means achieving the right color, the first time and every time, providing a new level of efficiencies for both brand owners and the packaging converters that support them.

Measuring Color for Compliance

Once colors have been specified, they must be measured at various stages of the design and production process. X-Rite offers a wide range of instrumentation along with value-added software and services to ensure crystal-clear color communication from beginning to end of the process.

With PantoneLIVE ColorBook and our Adobe Illustrator Viewer plug-in, designers can see how colors will look on the final substrate prior to production. ColorMunki Design and i1 Pro2 ensure accurate on-screen and projected color, ensuring a reliable match from monitor to printing press.

Our family of spectrophotometers, including X-Rite eXact and the Ci6x family of sphere spectrophotometers offer next-generation ease of use and accuracy when measuring the spectral values of color. Not sure which serves your needs best? Read the white paper, Choosing the Right Spectrophotometer, to find the information you need to make the right choices.

Production Excellence

Use EasyTrax or IntelliTrax for the fastest automated or semi-automated press-side color scanning systems. Start with a densitometer model and upgrade to a densitometer/spectrophotometer combination as your needs change.

As a total solutions provider, X-Rite offers a full range of software and services to increase the value and utility of your instrument investments. Value-added options includes:

NetProfiler, a cloud-based blend of software and color standards from X-Rite that allows you to verify, optimize and certify the performance of your color measurement devices.

iCPlate2 gives you the means to take uncertainty outof the plate production process. Analyze plate quality before production is in full swing and make the right decisions to save you—and your customers—from costly mistakes and rework due to plate errors.

Munsell Color Vision Tests: Not everyone sees color in the same way. Getting the color right is as important as getting the right color, and it begins in-house with the people who communicate your color to your customers. This easy-to-administer test measures each individual's color vision.

InkFormulation Software provides a fast, accurate and consistent ink formulation, formula creation, storage, approval and retrieval solution for offset, flexographic, gravure and screen-printing inks. It gives ink suppliers and printers more flexibility over recipes and assortments, improves basic materials handling, automatically determines the right ink film thickness and helps to eliminate hazardous waste.
