+Crash When Profiling a Secondary Display on Mac OSX 10.9

ColorMunki Display***, ColorMunki Design, and ColorMunki Photo are able to profile the primary display on Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) systems, but will crash when profiling the secondary display. The following workaround will allow you to profile two monitors until such time that a permanent solution is in place:

  1. Profile your primary display and then close the ColorMunki application
  2. Go to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement and drag the menu bar to the other (secondary) display to temporarily make it the primary display.
  3. Reboot the computer.
  4. Open the ColorMunki software and profile your secondary display (that is current identified by your computer as the primary).  Each display will now have their specific profile set as default.
  5. Go back to System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement and drag the menu bar back to the original primary display.
