How to Completely Remove PULSE ColorElite 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 on MacOS XThe process below describes how to manually uninstall PULSE ColorElite 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 from a MacOS X computer.
- Make sure the PULSE ColorElite software is not running and the PULSE is not connected to the computer.
Move the “PULSE ColorElite 1.0” folder from /Applications/ to the Trash
Move the “PULSE ColorElite” folder from /Library/Application Support/Xrite/ to the Trash
Move “com.pce.plist” from /Library/Preferences/ to the Trash. This file contains the serial number and activation code, so don't delete it if you are going to reinstall PULSE ColorElite on this system and use the same codes.
Go to System Preferences>Accounts. Make sure "My Account" is selected and click on the "Startup Items" button on the right. You will need to remove “PULSE USB Daemon” and “Monitor Reminder” from the Startup Items. To do so, select each one and then click on the "-" (minus) symbol below the list of Startup Items. DO NOT click on the minus symbol below the list of user accounts. You will need to remove these Startup Items from every user on the system.

- Launch Activity Monitor from /Applications/Utilities/. In the list of processes that appears, make sure "All Processes" is chosen. You will need to find any entries with "PULSE USB Daemon" as the Process Name. Sorting on the Process Name column makes them easier to find.

- Select each instance of "PULSE USB Daemon" and click on the Quit Process button at the top of the Activity Monitor window. If you are asked if you really want to quit "PULSE USB Daemon", click the Quit button.
Empty the Trash.
Restart your computer.
You have now completely removed Pulse ColorElite from this computer. You can proceed with installing a new version if desired.
