“One of the most important things that I’ve learned over the years is that it is too easy to stifle your creativity if you obsess over the technology. Being technologically proficient and knowing how to use your equipment inside and out is very important. But to me, creating my art is the most important reason I started photographing.”
The role of X-Rite colour management is paramount in Jason’s ability to achieve his artistic goals as many of his images contain subtle hues and delicate tones. The X-Rite solution allows Jason to produce fine art prints for himself and his clients. Since Jason photographs in a wide variety of lighting ranging from natural light to fully polarized lighting in the studio for art reproductions, he relies on X-Rite hardware and software to create his custom colour profiles and manage his required colour workflow from capture to output.
Part of Jason’s love of what he does is sharing his knowledge. He offers training on the creative and technical aspects of photography as well as workshops and workflow / imaging consulting.
