Keith Cooper

Keith tells people that colour management is about getting things 'right  the first time' more often, and eliminating surprises when you print something.

He is most emphatically not a colour perfectionist - following the old engineering maxim that 'Perfection is the enemy of excellence'.  Colour management is vital tool for his work, not an end in itself.

Colour management can be a complex and expensive business, but it doesn't have to be.

In helping people address colour management issues he likes to keep it simple and always starts with a monitor calibrator - one like the ColorMunki Display is fine for the vast majority of photographers.

At Northlight Images, we make a specific point of not selling any hardware or software - Keith finds this makes it much easier to convince people that what he's talking about really matters...
