+Mac OS X Mojave 10.14 Security Messages
Current X-Rite software applications have been tested on Mac OS X Mojave 10.14 with the following results:
i1Profiler 1.8.1:
During installation, the user may receive a message stating: “i1ProfilerTray would like to control the application System Events”. Selecting “Don’t Allow” or “OK” will close the window and i1Profiler will work just fine. This message is a one-time event and should not appear again. It appears this has to do with Mojave’s tightened security infrastructure and many other apps are seeing this. There is additional information about this issue online.
After installation, an icon for Login Items (AppleScript icon) appears in the dock after the computer is restarted after installation. This is associated with the i1Profiler Tray application. It will load in the dock that shows recently run items and will remain there until a newly run item replaces it.
When i1Profiler is launched, the user may receive a message stating: “i1Profiler would like to access your contacts.”. Selecting “Don’t Allow” or “OK” will close the window and i1Profiler will work just fine. This message is a one-time event and should not appear again. It appears this has to do with Mojave’s tightened security infrastructure and many other apps are seeing this. (We saw it also with Xcode.)
The first time that an Asset is dragged and dropped to a Workflow Step in the Advanced Mode of i1Profile, the user may see the following message: “i1Profiler would like to control this computer using accessibility features. Grant access to this application in Security & Privacy preferences located in System Preferences”. Selecting “Open System Preferences” will take you to System Preferences and “Deny” will close the window and i1Profiler will work just fine. This message is a one-time event and should not appear again. It appears this also has to do with Mojave’s tightened security infrastructure.
Other software application testing showed the following:
i1Studio 1.1.1:

ColorMunki Display 1.1.5:

Selecting “Don’t Allow” or “OK” will close the window and ColorMunki Display will work just fine. This message is a one-time event and should not appear again. It appears this has to do with Mojave’s tightened security infrastructure and many other apps are seeing this. There is additional information about this issue online.
