Michael Wayne Plant

Social Documentary and Street Photographer, UK

Michael Wayne Plant’s photography engages with the social landscape created by contemporary capitalism. He is the founder of Photography Workshops London and has been the Lead Photography Lecturer at Idea Store Learning in Tower Hamlets since 2009.

Michael is an avid fan of digital photography, having embraced it in 2003, he has not used a film camera since. Michael’s work has appeared in a wide variety of international magazines, working originally as an advertising photographer, then moving into fashion for a while. Since completing an MA in Photography and Urban Culture at Goldsmiths College, University of London, alongside his teaching, he has concentrated on Street and Social Documentary photography.
