I discovered my love for photography very late. I bought my first camera in 2005 and I was in a rush - the camera was instantly a part of me. However, I actually think I’ve been a photographer my whole life – albeit without a camera. But, with it I was very happy – it presented such a new way of life.
Within a short time my first photos were published in magazines and technical periodicals, and in 2006 I held my first exhibition in Belgium with images of Street.
However, very quickly I noticed that I was missing a direct communication with the people. I love to motivate people to show themselves or to slip into a role. Therefore, in 2007 I undertook a high-profile re-orientation in the area of People, and decided to become a professional photographer on a permanent basis. It was a brilliant decision - portrait, fashion, lifestyle and editorial - all gave me a base of information, curiosity and, at times, the ability to photographically transport.
I’m proud to say that my clientele also includes economic enterprises and fashion labels which want their products and their images to be outstanding of the common photographic mass-product.
I feel it is important to always reinvent my photography and give new impetus to it - nothing is as boring as the daily monotony!
Ich entdeckte sehr spät meine Liebe zur Photographie, wobei ich eigentlich glaube, dass ich mein ganzes Leben fotografiert habe – nur eben ohne Kamera. Ende 2005 war es dann soweit, ich kaufte mir die erste Kamera und ich war wie in einem Rausch – es war so, als wenn die Kamera ein Teil von mir war.
Nur kurze Zeit später folgten erste Veröffentlichungen in Magazinen und Fachzeitschriften der Photographie. Im Jahr 2006 dann die erste Ausstellung in Belgien mit Exponaten der Streetphotography.
Sehr schnell viel mir auf das mir bei meiner Photographie die direkte Kommunikation mit den Menschen fehlte – ich liebe es Menschen zu motivieren sich selbst zu zeigen oder in eine Rolle zu schlüpfen. Und so nahm ich 2007 eine schwerpunktmäßige Umorientierung in den Bereich People, Portrait, Fashion, Lifestyle und Editorial vor – es war eine geniale Entscheidung, die es mir ermöglichte, eine Basis aus Informationen, Neugier und Zeitgeist photographisch zu transportieren.
Für mich gab es Ende 2007 kein anderen Weg aus der Passion einen Beruf zu machen und so fiel der Entschluss, sich als Photograph selbstständig zu machen.
Zu meinen Kunden gehören heute Wirtschaftsunternehmen und Mode-Labels, die ihre Produkte und ihr Image aus dem beliebigen Einheitsbrei der gewöhnlichen, photographischen Massenphotographie führen wollen.
Mir ist es wichtig meine Photographie immer neu zu erfinden und dadurch neue Impulse zu geben!
